A Note From Rosemary – May 2014

Dear Parents/Guardians,
A few notes –
- At this time of year we offer places for the 2014/2015 school year from our waiting lists. For this purpose we ask that you would let us know if you are planning on moving from the area over the Summer period and that your child/children will be leaving Le Chéile. It is very important for retention of staff that we have the correct numbers for the coming school year so we would appreciate your co-operation on this.
- I would also like to remind you to ensure that all your younger children are pre-enrolled. If you are unsure please check with Geraldine at the office. Currently our enrolment policy is First Come-First Served and there is no sibling preference.
Aladdin
As you may remember earlier in the year, we told you about the Musical Project that children from 5th and 6th classes have been working on. A large group of staff have been working with them after school every Monday. This has involved all aspects of the arts – music, dance, drama, art and craft work – creating scenery, props, posters etc ……. The spin off from the project has been amazing!
Now after months of hard work, combined with amazing talent, they are proudly going to present Aladdin, in two shows, on next Monday and Tuesday, to all the students in the school.
They will also be doing a performance for their parents on Wednesday evening. The buzz around the school is fantastic, with all the pupils involved in art and music activities and the songs are to heard up and down the corridors……. ♫♬♬ A whole new world… A dazzling place ……. ♬♬♫.
We celebrate another great event for Le Chéile and I say thank you to everyone for their involvement.
