Spring in 4th Class
We have had a very busy Spring term in 4th Class. Please take a look at some of our great work.
We love art and are very talented artists. Here is some of our work.
We played in three GAA blitzes this term. Two were played in Colmcilles and one was played in Stamullen. We really enjoyed playing in these matches.
We celebrated World Book Day in March. Some of us dressed up as our favourite book characters, some of us decorated potatoes as our favourite book characters and we enjoyed shared reading with Nicola’s 1st class.
A highlight of our term was our dance lessons with Jacinta and of course our big dance show.
Also this term we we celebrated Le Chéile Kindness week. We created a really long kindness chain and did lots of random acts of kindness during the week. We even completed our assembly on the theme of kindness. A special thanks to the students council for organising such a great event!
Also this Spring we learned a lot about Japan. We read a story about Japan in World War 2, learned about Japanese food and clothing. We decorated kimonos and Japanese cherry blossoms in art and even learned a little Japanese. It was a very enjoyable topic. We also completed projects on ‘Where I live’ these were very interesting as it is so important to learn about local history and geography. We all learned a lot about Drogheda, Bettystown, Beamore and surrounding areas.
