Crazy Golf-A-Thon Fundraiser
Over 400 children from Le Chéile Educate Together National School took part in a fun filled event which saw the school transformed into a 15 hole mini crazy golf course for the day.
The fundraising event, organised by the parents and staff of the school, aimed to raise money for the development of musical projects in the school.
Throughout the day each class from junior infants through to sixth class tried their hand at each of the 15 holes. Although there were lots of birdies scored no eagles were spotted on the day!
Parents were on hand during the day to provide their ‘pro’ tips and caddie for the children. It soon became evident that there may well be some future Irish Open winners attending the school!
In the lead up to the event, children from each class took part in a lesson or art project themed on Golf.
Fiona Rock, Principal of Le Chéile ETNS thanked the parent-led fundraising committee for their commitment, determination and imagination in creating an exciting and memorable event enjoyed by all.
