Maths week is in full swing at Le Chéile. Children can be seen around the building counting measuring, estimating, adding and subtracting, multiplying and dividing. We have had a busy and fun filled first half term back. We celebrated International Peace Day in early October, check out our display! We also created our own acrostic poems for Harvest and designed scarecrows to “deck out” our Learn Together board for the school!
The boys and girls in both First classes have had a busy few weeks learning all about India and Diwali. They drew beautiful Henna Patterns and Rangoli patterns.
Everyone in Claire and Julie’s Senior Infants celebrated Tree Day on October 6th. As part of the Learn Together, S.E.S.E and P.E. curriculum we went on an outdoor adventure to look for signs of autumn. In September both 2nd classes headed out to explore the school grounds and to discover what minibeasts we could find. The children found slugs, snails, worms and spiders to name just a few. We had great fun exploring our school environment and recording our findings!
