In November, we were learning about the town of Drogheda. We named important places in our town, talked about our favourite places in town and drew maps of the town. We painted some fun cityscapes inspired by the American artist, James Rizzi. He loved to paint faces on the buildings in his cityscapes.
Laura’s Junior Infants have been really busy so far this year. We have been working hard and having great fun 🙂We love singing and dancing and have learned lots of new songs. The children in 4th class have been working brilliantly and we are very pleased with their hard work. Here are some examples of their beautiful art work and of them having fun on dress up day.
Senior infants have been doing terrific work since September. We’ve been learning a lot about Autumn and even went on a lovely nature walk and collected some horse chestnut, oak and sycamore leaves. Our nature tables are looking great!

We have spent October discussing autumn. We identified the signs of autumn and talked about hibernation and migration. From the 14th-18th of October, we celebrated Maths Week with the rest of the school. We had a busy week writing Number Stories, playing new Maths games and perfecting our number skills.
