“Junk Art”
Second class had great fun during this week’s junk art lesson which was inspired by our upcoming school tour to Tayto Park. Junk art encourages creativity, develops problem solving skills, builds self confidence and develops fine motor skills. Well done! Na páistí is fearr in Éirinn gan aon dabht!
Chess Awards
Le Chéile’s chess team recently attended the Local Schools’ Chess League’s award night in the Boyne Valley Hotel. The team had a tremendous year competing locally and came in 2nd place overall in Division A of the competition against some stiff local opposition. Well done lads!
Minibeast Adventure
First Class recently explored the school yard and field. Fun with Shadows
This week First Class took advantage of the sunny spell and explored shadows. We discovered that the closer an object is to the light source, the bigger the shadow. We had great fun tracing outside in the lovely sun but we had to be quick because the clouds were appearing!!
Senior Infants- On Tour!
On Tuesday May 14th, Senior Infants headed off on School tour to Bricks4Kids in Santry. The children enjoyed building, inventing and creating with LEGO. They got to test and race their vehicles on the huge ramp. They also enjoyed using motors to make their creations move.
Second Class are Creative Mathematicians!
Everyone in second class did an amazing job of inventing and creating a maths game. We were so impressed with their work. Obair ar dóigh ar fad!
