Erasmus + – Update on Activity 3
Work on Activity Three of our Magic and Myths Unite Europe project has just gotten underway in school. Later this week, a group of senior children who attend resource teaching support will travel to mid-Louth to walk in the footsteps of Irish mythical hero, Cúchulainn. They will travel to Knockbridge to visit Cúchulainn’s Stone and then onto Ardee to visit the battle site of Cúchulainn and Ferdia.
Following their trip, the children will create projects in various media. Some of these will be taken to Spain to be exhibited alongside projects from our partner schools across Europe.
The other part of Activity Three involves the parents and children of the whole school community. A note sent home in February invited all families to participate in Activity Three by visiting, photographing and writing about a trip to a mythical or legendary site around Ireland. An exhibition will be held in Le Chéile to display all contributions on Friday 8th April 2016.
A short written piece, a collection of photographs or a brochure from a site would be a perfect contribution. Present these then on A4/A3 paper or card and send into the Erasmus+ committee via your child’s class teacher. We ask that all submissions are clearly labelled with your child’s name, class and teacher’s name so that all work can be returned.
We encourage as many families as possible to get involved and contribute to the project. Should you have any contributions ready presently please send them into school to your child’s class teacher.
We look forward to hosting a wonderful exhibition!
