Trying our hand at St. Brigid’s Crosses

Last Wednesday marked the first official day of Spring and the Christian feast of  St. Brigid. Given that St. Brigid is said to have been born in Co. Louth, we in 6th class thought it was important to keep the cross-making tradition going. 3 hours, lots of team-work and a very messy classroom later, we had 26 beautiful crosses!
