The PTA Officer’s Roles
The role of the Chairperson is to:
- Coordinate and implement PTA Calendar of Events/Activities throughout the year.
- Chair monthly PTA Meetings.
- Meet with Principal on weekly or fortnightly basis, to keep lines of communication open.
- Meeting with Principal and BOM Chairperson as and when needed.
- Collate and issue Le Cheile Newsletters (issued Christmas, Summer and Easter) in conjunction with Principal, Staff and various Committees within the school.
- Liaise with Parents Representatives on BOM.
- New Parent’s evening.
- Liaise with School Secretary.
The role of the Secretary is to:
- Photocopy/distribution of notices/information to parents.
- Minutes of PTA meeting.
- Update Parents FB page.
- General correspondence.
- Meet with Principal and BOM Chairperson as and when needed.
- PTA AGM.
- Secretary’s Report.
- New Parent’s evening.
- Liaise with School Secretary.
The role of the Treasurer is to:
- To keep an up to date Receipts and Outgoings book.
- Bank lodgements from the various PTA activities: Book Fair, After School Activities, and Pupil Insurance.
- Issue cheques as required by the PTA and ensure that the cheques are co-signed.
- Prepare the end of year Financial Statement for the AGM.
