The PTA Officer’s Roles

PTA News PTA

 The role of the Chairperson is to:

  •  Coordinate and implement PTA Calendar of Events/Activities throughout the year.
  • Chair monthly PTA Meetings.
  • Meet with Principal on weekly or fortnightly basis, to keep lines of communication open.
  • Meeting with Principal and BOM Chairperson as and when needed.
  • Collate and issue Le Cheile Newsletters (issued Christmas, Summer and Easter) in conjunction with Principal, Staff and various Committees within the school.
  • Liaise with Parents Representatives on BOM.
  • New Parent’s evening.
  • Liaise with School Secretary.

 The role of the Secretary is to:

  •  Photocopy/distribution of notices/information to parents.
  • Minutes of PTA meeting.
  • Update Parents FB page.
  • General correspondence.
  • Meet with Principal and BOM Chairperson as and when needed.
  • PTA AGM.
  • Secretary’s Report.
  • New Parent’s evening.
  • Liaise with School Secretary.

The role of the Treasurer is to:

  •  To keep an up to date Receipts and Outgoings book.
  • Bank lodgements from the various PTA activities: Book Fair, After School Activities, and Pupil Insurance.
  • Issue cheques as required by the PTA and ensure that the cheques are co-signed.
  • Prepare the end of year Financial Statement for the AGM.
