The fundraising committee is planning to hold an indoor Christmas market on Nov. 29th in the gymnasium of the Grammar school. It will run from 2-6pm and stalls will cost 25 Euro each. Stalls will be offered to the public. A form was sent around the meeting for volunteers to sign up to help.

Music will be provided by RTE Orchestra and the school choir.
School Calendars will be sold on the day of the fair.
Fiona Rock (principal) suggested that the children could sell crafts on the stalls. Fiona also informed Delores that if the Fair/ stalls are to be opened to the public that it may need to go before the BOM as fundraising events have always been kept in-house.
Ian Casey explained the process that was carried out to acquire new parent representatives for the Board of Management. He welcomed Jeff Sweetman and Cara Driscoll as the new Parent representatives to the Board of Management.
Fiona Robertson thanked the out-going representatives Suzanne Carolan and Brian Parle for their four years of hard work on the BOM. Fiona presented gifts on behalf of the PTA. Fiona Rock also thanked Suzanne and Brian on behalf of the whole school.

A.S.A’s: Ian Casey and Sonia Cole are happy to continue with the ASA’s for the next term but requested a volunteer to help out. Sonia stated that the uptake for ASA’s wasn’t great this term and that they plan to involve the children with planning of activity choices for next term. Tutors can be brought in for ASA’s but they must be insured and Garda vetted.
Sonia will look into the cost of having a speaker on Positive Parenting attend a future meeting.
Orla Burke informed the meeting that the National Parents Council is having their AGM in Scholars Hotel on Oct. 19th. All Welcome.
Kirsten Feehan thanked all bus supervisors and asked that a note be sent to parents to request that address and phone numbers are in the Childs bag at all times. Louise will send a note.
