Dragon Boat Team Announced!

Hi Parents of Le Chéile. 
 
The fundraising team here.
 
By now each family will have received a sponsorship card for our Dragon Boat Race. We had a great launch today, 04-06-15. RTE “News 2day” came to the school and filmed all of the children doing their “Rock The Boat”. It travelled all the way from the Junior yard through the three corridors, into and around the hall and out towards the Senior yard. There was very positive feedback from the children and the staff dived in as well. We will let you know when it’s on as soon as we know. There will also be some local press coverage. 
 
The idea of today’s event was to give the children an opportunity to feel engaged with the Dragon Boat Race. It’s turning out great. They all participated in the logo competition, did the “Rock the Boat” for the launch and know most of the teachers/participants who are going to do the actual rowing for us.
 
 So, now to the announcement of who those participants are.
 
 We need a total of 14 people to do this, so, from the staff we have:

Our greatest thanks to all of the volunteers, staff and parents alike. We wish them the very best of luck. They have a great chance of winning with all of the support they will be getting along the quayside on the day. But for representing our children’s school, even if they only come second, we very much appreciate it.
 
 We will do our best to keep you updated with this and other developments between now and then. Other than that, see you all on 21st June along the Boyne River.
