Erasmus+ – Update and Storyteller
A warm welcome back and New Year to all! The Erasmus+ project is ready to kick off again following the Christmas break.
Christmas greetings and New Year wishes were sent from all our partner schools to ours. Christmas cards and homemade gifts were exchanged between some classes in Le Chéile and their Erasmus+ pen pals. Work has already begun on Activity Two and plans are in place for our second Transnational Project Meeting in Finland.
On Monday 18th January, we will welcome renowned storyteller, Niall De Burca, to our school. Niall will spend Monday in our school, retelling various Irish myths, legends, stories and sagas to each group. Niall has also kindly offered to spend time with the Erasmus+ committee.
Niall is one of Ireland’s finest traditional storytellers. He has travelled the world with his narrative abilities and is known for his talent of engaging all ages in his art. He has received many accolades throughout his career. Niall is a familiar figure to many schools across the country, engaging children in his innovative schools programme.
We look forward to welcoming Niall to our school, in what hopes to be a most enjoyable experience for all.
*Reminder: Each child is asked to make a contribution of €1 towards the cost of the storyteller.*
