Musical Project 2018: Mary Poppins.

Musical Project 2018: Mary Poppins.

Susan Savage Class Blog, News Drama, Music

Children from 5th and 6th class were invited to take part in a musical production of Mary Poppins.

Rehearsals got under way after Christmas, every Thursday after school.  Parents, family, neighbours and friends enjoyed a music and dance filled evening in the school hall on Thursday last,  as the children proudly presented the Le Chéile version of the well known and much loved musical.

All sets and props were designed and made by the children themselves.

Everyone in the school was involved in the excitement in the run up to the big event:

Mary Poppins the movie was shown to the younger children.  The infants entered a colouring completion and the seniors were encouraged to design tickets and posters to advertise the show.  I’m sure you will agree that there is great talent, both on and off the stage in Le Cheile.  We are very proud of all of our children.
